My tears of grief

A song reminded me recently of the tears I cried years ago when I was told that I couldn't have a baby naturally. The test results came through and my doctor started suggesting IVF.

I went home and began doing the inner work. Delving through my limiting thoughts of shame and unworthiness and did the work to create new thoughts and experiences to support me in the direction of my desires. I switched my vibration and began focusing on what I really wanted, I reached such a beautiful place of clarity and I accepted that if I couldn’t have a baby naturally then I would adopt.

I let go of the struggle and accepted that the best path would unfold for me in perfect timing. I stopped thinking I knew exactly what had to happen and when it had to happen, I trusted that whatever the outcome, it was for the highest good of all.

AND GUESS WHAT HAPPENED?

Within 2 months I was pregnant! I naturally conceived a baby through my willingness to look at parts of me that held shame. I rewired my brain to think thoughts of worthiness, trust and joy.

This is not a judgement for those who choose the path of IVF or for those who never have children of their own.

Everyone is not destined to have a baby, but we all birth beautiful things into this world, be it a business, a relationship, a passion, our natural gift of being value to others. I believe our paths are laid out before us and the more we ease into them the more joy we can have along the way. I believe there is no wrong or right way to live life but there is a path of more ease and joy and we can all access this path.

That’s the short version of this story. If you want to read the longer version here it is.

The inner work was hard, I had to face the thoughts and beliefs that I was so ashamed of. I had beliefs about being a disappointment, a mistake and of being something to be ashamed of.

I had grown up thinking that I didn’t deserve to have a happy life.

I delved into beliefs about my sensitive nature being wrong, a weakness, something to hide. Growing up I was ridiculed for crying. “Stop crying or I will give you something to cry about” are words that echoed in my head. Like many people, I was conditioned to shove my feelings down and pretend they weren’t there.

Facing all of these false beliefs allowed me to see through them and realise what I truly wanted. I wanted to feel worthy, happy and loved unconditionally. By working through these old negative beliefs I was able to reach a place where I could detach myself from them, I could sit with them and not fear them anymore. Then I was able to create new positive beliefs and empower myself to make choices that reflected my worthiness.

Once I reached this state of feeling worthy and good and happy, then the path unfolded easily for me.

I reached the point that I didn’t NEED to have a baby anymore to feel happy and deserving.

I let go of the belief that not having a baby was a bad thing or that it was a sign of me being undeserving.

I felt so blissful and whole with who I was. I wasn’t desperate or needy anymore and so I let it in, my baby naturally came through. My vibrational alignment was achieved.

This is the power of the work to rewire the brain and shift your vibration.

When you let go of judgement about where you are and where you think you should be. Then the path unfolds easily for you.

When we find ourselves being limited in some way, we must face the things that we try to hide. When we shed light on them, we are able to see them for what they are – false beliefs. When we realise how false they are, we are able to let them go.
